ABOUT YOUR PERSONAL HOME INSPECTOR
After leaving the USMC as an electrician I went into residential plumbing in Chicago in 1986. I was a member of Plumbers Local 130 before moving to New Mexico in 2006. In Chicago I worked on many residential new construction projects producing over 300 home a year. I have experience in new construction residential, commercial and industrial plumbing systems. I have experience with HVAC installation and boiler installation as well as building custom homes.
When I moved to New Mexico I continued my plumbing career building the Isleta Casino addition, Intel and many other large projects. I've been a Plumber/Fitter at Los Alamos Laboratory for 6 years.

WHY DID I BECOME YOUR PERSONAL HOME INSPECTOR ?
A few years ago when I met my wife she used a home inspector to help her make some educated decisions about her first home purchase. The home inspection she received was well below the "Standards Of Practice" we follow today. At the time New Mexico was completely unregulated in the home inspection industry and still remains that way today. This is why it is important to VERIFY your home inspectors credentials and training.
Many corrections were needed to be performed on her home to bring it up to what we considered a home we would be proud to sell. There was never a one on one conversation with the home inspector informing her of his findings. It was at this time I decided I could make a difference in the industry by educating myself as much as I could and bringing my talent as a plumbing contractor to the inspection business. With water damage being the #1 destroyer of the homes interior I have a clear advantage. Slow water damage can lead to wood rot, mold, mildew and insect infestation all of which can remain unseen and very expensive to correct once detected.
I belong to the nations largest Home Inspection Association InterNACHI. I'm constantly updating my training and keeping in front of the latest home inspection methods and tools. Can you verify your home inspectors current training? Does he only offer a visual inspection? Does your home inspector have the 30+ years in the field to understand underground scoping of plumbing and HVAC ducts? Does he have the qualifications to perform Infrared Photography and analyze Electrical Systems with something more than a circuit tester? Will your inspector check all the visible and accessible receptacles in the house or just the minimum "representative" as required to do? Will he operate all the windows or just the "representative" number of windows as required to do? Does he make it a point to try and access every roof for a detailed inspection? In 2020 when the New Mexico Home Inspectors criteria is updated will his or her certificate be valid?
I pride myself on ensuring that my customers receive the very best home inspection I can provide them. I don't schedule more than one inspection a day and I don't follow the "get it done" in four hours rule. I take my time and will try to find every detail that will make you an educated buyer so that you may make some educated choice when you negotiate your purchase.
The test report I will create for you will become the sole property of my client. I will not perform any plumbing corrections (for one year) nor recommend a plumbing contractor or any other contractor as this violates our code of ethics.
I will enjoy hearing from you and look forward to giving you the best possible home inspection I can provide.
